PICKETWIRE ANNOUNCES AUDITIONS FOR SUMMER MUSICAL

Picketwire Players announced “My Fair Lady” as the summer 2018 musical. This revival was originally produced by Picketwire 35 years ago in 1983. The iconic musical by Lerner and Lowe features such memorable songs as “The Rain in Spain”, “I Could Have Danced All Night”, “On the Street Where You Live” and many more.

Tracey Salzbrenner is directing the 2018 show and Aubrey Krengel is the orchestral director. Auditions for the 2018 show are May 21 and 23 at 7:00 PM at The Picketwire Center for Performing and Visual Arts (802 San Juan Avenue in La Junta, Colorado). The show dates are July 14, 19, 20 and 21. If you are interested in auditioning for a lead, please come prepared with a song from the show. You will also be given a scene to read.

Featured and ensemble parts will also read selected scenes from the show and can sing a song of their choosing. If you would prefer to work back stage or help with set, please fill out an audition sheet during one of the audition nights and indicate that you prefer to work a technical position.

NOTE: There are no leading roles for children. However, a select number of children will be cast for ensemble roles.
