Box Office Opens for “Fahrenheit 451”

 Box office will be opening on Monday September 7^th for the Picketwire Center’s production of “Fahrenheit 451,” directed by Ashley Jo Kelley. Box office hours are Monday-Friday from 5:30-7:00 PM for the duration of the run. Ticket prices are $18.00. Tickets will also be available online at picketwireplayers.org and available for purchase at the box office on performance nights. Picketwire invites us to dive into the dark world of Ray Bradbury’s dystopian classic, “Fahrenheit 451.” Fahrenheit 451 is the temperature at which paper ignites. This powerful drama is about the inner struggle of Guy Montag, a fireman. Living in a highly controlled world, where firemen no longer extinguish fires, but rather start them. Montage has worked as a civil servant for ten years burning books, but lately he has become increasingly unsure about what he is doing and about his vegetable-like existence. It is not until he meets a young woman, who is filled with strange ideas, that he is lead into a dangerous and highly combustible situation. Now he must choose between continuing his nonexistent existence and risking everything for the right to think.
