Opening Weekend!

For it’s 50th summer, Picketwire is producing a retrospective show to celebrate its 50th Anniversary. On Friday, July 13th, it’s “50 Fabulous Years: A Retrospective” featuring performers returning from the past 50 years to perform their original numbers. Tom Armstrong as Tevye is singing If I Were a Rich Man; Jeannie and George Larsen will revive their historic performances as Mary Poppins and Bert. The cast of “Les Miserables” will inspire with song and Otero Junior College dancers are reviving the “Carousel” ballet. The Little Shop Crew, the Nunsense Nuns and more will be singing and dancing the night away.

In addition, “My Fair Lady” opens Saturday, July 14th with a fabulous cast of over thirty veterans and a couple young new comers. “Lady” continues the next weekend: July 19, 20, 21.

All performances begin at 7:30 PM at the Picketwire Center for Performing and Visual Arts, 802 San Juan Avenue in La Junta.
