Based on the beloved 1984 film, Footloose bursts onto the stage with unforgettable music, explosive choreography, and a story that celebrates community, courage, and the joy of cutting loose. Under the Direction of Tracey Salzbrenner and Musical direction of Dean Rees, the production showcases performers of all ages from across the region, bringing fresh life and unstoppable momentum to this iconic show.
Performance Dates:
July 9, 10, 11 at 7:30 PM
July 12 at 2:30 PM
Audiences can expect powerhouse vocals, dynamic dance numbers by choreographers Rena Ruiz and Desiree Goheen, and a stage packed literally with talent. From heartfelt moments to full‑tilt dance breaks, this production captures everything people love about Footloose: the rebellion, the rhythm, and the reminder that joy is worth fighting for.
When Ren (Andrew Benjamin) and his mother Ethel (Aimee Jones) move from Chicago to a small farming town, he is prepared for the inevitable adjustment period at his new high school. But he’s not prepared for the rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher (Johnathan Colson), who is determined to exercise control over the town’s youth. When the reverend’s rebellious daughter Ariel, (Kaydence Salazar) sets her sights on Ren, her roughneck boyfriend (Angel Saucedo) tries to sabotage Ren’s reputation, with many of the locals eager to believe the worst about the new kid. The heartfelt story that emerges pins a father longing for the son he lost against a young man aching for the father who walked out on him.

To the rockin’ rhythm of its Oscar and Tony-nominated Top 40 score, augmented with dynamic new songs, Footloose celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people while guiding them with a warm heart and open mind. The incredible pop/rock score which features such standards as “The Girl Gets Around,” “Holding Out For A Hero,” “Let’s Hear It For The Boy,” the achingly beautiful “Almost Paradise,” and the hit title song is sure to bring audience to their feet at every performance!
