Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery Opens in Three Weeks
Only three more weeks of rehearsal ahead for the cast and crew of “Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery”! The cast has been very busy learning their lines, blocking in action, and even practicing British accents. Specific characters in the cast took part in two in-house British dialect workshops to learn how to “speak the Queen’s English” — which is another name for a “posh” or “noble” accent dialect. Learning the rules and tricks to properly affect an accurate accent (say that ten times fast) has been a little something different for the cast, some of whom are new to acting altogether.
Along with accents and lines, the cast has been hard at work on the timing of sequences within the play that call for some fun, but deliberate and precise action! “This show has several surprises in store for the audience, including something the Picketwire Players may have never done before”, says actor Mark Randall, who is returning to the stage for the first time since the Spring 2013 Picketwire Production “Of Mice and Men”.
Production dates are October 9th, 10th, and 11th at 7:30 p.m., and October 12th at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $12 and the box office will be opening soon! Mark your calendars and come out to join us for this hilarious comedy of definite mystery, possible murder, and absolute mayhem!
