No rest for the theatrically inclined!
With the lights going down for a summer musical of epic proportions, the Picketwire Players scarcely have time to rest before the lights go up for the fall play. This fall sees a hilarious, off-beat murder mystery with quite the twist, take the main stage. Murder Mystery at the Murder Mystery, written by Brian D. Taylor, is a play within a play setting with quite a few surprises for the audience and may give the cast some fun new challenges to flex their acting muscles.
This production has a cast of 14 people, including 7 females, 5 males, and 2 characters that can be cast either way. These characters range from bad actors to stressed out crew, and from a snarky theater critic to a playwright who isn’t what he appears to be!
Auditions will be held August 18th @ 6:30 pm and August 19th @ 6:30 pm at the Picketwire Center for Performing and Visual Arts, located at 802 San Juan, in La Junta.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact the director, Elizabeth Randall, at (719) 468-6727. Rehearsals will begin immediately on the 21st at 7 pm. Come on out and give us your best “bad actor” audition! We hope to see there!
